Behind the Albums: Should God Forget: A Retrospective

Interviewer: "In the notes for the forthcoming Psychedelic Furs retrospective album, you're called 'the missing link between the Sex Pistols and Nirvana' and the 'forerunner' of alternative music. What do you think?"

Richard Butler: "Hmmm, that's a strange concept. I think we were more the link between the Sex Pistols and Roxy Music. And this business of being a forerunner is such a weird phrase. There are always lots of bands making music like that, it's just a lot are not being recognized." (Daily News 1997)

John Ashton: "The last tour [for World Outside] was a realization that we had all come a long way, but at the same time had not reached our final destination. Perhaps this collection will help fan the flames." (Should God Forget liner notes, 1997)
