I recently started listening to Billy Idol's music, mainly his first two albums.
I remember hearing my dad play "Eyes Without A Face" when I was a kid and during my teenage years I heard "White Wedding" and "Rebel Yell" on the Rock Band and Guitar Hero video games. My brother got into Billy Idol but his music didn't interest me.
A month ago while working at retail, four or five times, the store played "Catch My Fall", which has the great Mars Williams, and whenever I would hear the saxophone I'd get emotional. So I decided to get the first two albums and they are really good. And it makes me wish I listened to them earlier.
On Rebel Yell it's interesting that three people who worked on this album were on Mirror Moves a year later. Keith Forsey, Tommy Price, and Mars Williams. Oh, and here's an interesting fun fact: Billy Idol and John Ashton share the same birthday, November 30. The former in 1955 and the latter in 1957.
